GYAN (Generating Knowledge for Action in Villages)

Evidence to Action for Sustainable Rural Development
GYAN at the Centre of Science for Villages (CSV) serves as the institution’s knowledge and policy think-tank, strengthening rural development through evidence-based research, documentation, and learning.

GYAN undertakes applied research, impact evaluations, case studies, and policy analysis across CSV’s thematic areas. The centre translates field experience into toolkits, guidelines, knowledge products, and policy briefs that inform practitioners, governments, and academic institutions.
