AAROGYA (Applied Action for Rural Health and Nutrition Outreach)

Healthy Communities, Stronger Villages
AAROGYA at the Centre of Science for Villages (CSV) focuses on improving the health and nutritional status of rural communities through integrated, preventive, and community-driven approaches.

AAROGYA combines traditional health wisdom with modern public health practices and appropriate technologies to address key challenges related to maternal and child health, adolescent health, nutrition security, sanitation and hygiene, mental well-being, and lifestyle disease prevention.

The vertical emphasizes awareness, early detection, referral linkages, and strengthening frontline health systems, while promoting community ownership of health initiatives.

  1. Maternal, child, and adolescent health
  2.  Nutrition security and diet diversity
  3. Sanitation, hygiene, and safe water practices
  4. Preventive and promotive healthcare
  5. Mental health and well-being
